My name is Sam Lavery and I am the Summer Surf Girl representative for the 2017/18 season! Throughout the season I will be campaigning to promote surf safety in the community and raise vital funds for my club.
For those who don't already know - the Summer Surf Girl program is the largest and longest annual club fundraising and awareness program of its kind in Australia. Since its inception in 1964, the program has injected more than $14.5 million into Queensland Surf Life Saving clubs.
The program is first and foremost a member development program, which seeks to engage female members within Surf Life Saving and to develop their skills and experience for their future careers within and outside the movement.
I am very proud to represent Point Lookout in the 2017 competition and will be working very hard over the season to promote the Surf Life Saving movement through fundraising and community awareness events.
On this page, you will find all of the Fundraising events/functions I will be coordinating - you can also register by clicking on the links associated with each function.
You can follow my journey and keep up to date with the latest events and activities that you could be a part of on my Facebook page Facebook page or follow me on Instagram at @plslsc_summersurfgirl.
You can also make a donation to my Summer Surf Girl campaign via Everyday Hero
All funds raised directly support Point Lookout's lifesaving services through the purchase of new rescue equipment, maintenance of equipment and facilities, and member training. Your support is so greatly appreciated!
